This radiant sauce is made to make various types of foods shine…from mains to appetizers.
Again , there are many versions of this classic and you too may add your signature to it to make your very own version.

Serves : 1 cup
1 cup Basil Leaves
1 cup Flat Parsley Leaves
1/3 cup Pine Nuts
1/3 cup Grated Pecorino / Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup Olive Oil
Kosher Salt & Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Wash the basil and parsley and break them from their stems.Discard the Stems. Put all the ingredients in a food processor or you may use the traditional motor and pestle , like I did in making my batch. Grind till the paste reaches a coarsely smooth consistency .
Transfer in a jar and drizzle with some extra olive oil on top.
Refrigerate and use for a week to ten days or deep-freeze for longer shelf life.9
